Aurora celebrates their younger citizens with KidSpree held every July. The festival features more than 60 hands-on activities and entertainers. Plus, the kids get the chance to paint a tiny tot town any color they like, turn a real car into an unusual masterpiece, enjoy some time in the petting zoo and even swim in a pool of noodles! Mom and dad need to remember to bring the camera to capture every colorful minute!

Every October, the people of Aurora let it fly with the annual Punkin Chunkin Colorado. The idea is to hurl pumpkins through the air as creatively as possible. It is quite amusing to see the various ingenious contraptions designed to launch pumpkins as high as possible. There's also lots more fun at this festival with hayrides, scarecrow making, a pumpkin patch and great live music.

Aurora loves its coffee. In fact, the city celebrates the joy of java every May with Java Fest. Coffee brewers from all over the area come together to offer samplings of their brews at this festival. There's also live music and assorted pastries to enjoy with the various blends. Just bring your favorite mug and enjoy!

The influential Hispanic community in Aurora brings much cultural influence to the area every day of the year. That influence is celebrated to great effect with Fiesta Aurora, a city-wide festival held every June. Taking the family out to a movie is always fun, but the experience is brought to a whole new level with Movie in the Park Night held in Fletcher Plaza for seven Saturday nights during the summer months. Bring lawn chairs and blankets to find a comfortable spot to enjoy some very family-friendly films on the big screen. There's also some pre-show activities that include craft projects and trivia games. Refreshments are sold on site.
